Before you shop for a home take some time to find out how much HOME you can BUY. Sometimes we estimate what we think we can buy or spend and often times we can actually afford more or less. Speaking with a lender before you go Home Shopping is one of the best ideas. A lender can help guide you with your financial goals to home ownership so your well educated and well prepared when you find you Dream Home. Know Your Mortgage
Knowing the different types of mortgages that are available is key to home buying. Believe it or not there are several options that could be more beneficial to you. We all know the traditional loans but there are several specialty loans as well. Working with an experienced lender can help guide you to the mortgage loan that's the right fit for you. Pre Approval vs. Pre Qualification
Many people don't know there is a difference in getting Pre Approved or Pre Qualified? I'm here to tell you that there is a big difference and it could mean getting your offer accepted or Not! Here's a page from my FREE Buyer's Guide that discusses the difference between Pre Approval and Pre Qualification. When you speak to an experienced lender the only thing they should be recommending to you is a Pre Approval Letter which is going to show a Seller that you are a serious Buyer and ready to Buy. A Pre Qualification is a quick "Opinion" of a lender that you "might" be able to buy a home. Take the extra time and be sure that you get a Pre Approval from your lender so when you find that perfect Dream Home you can show the Seller that your serious and ready to buy!
